Brain Board Meetings

Surgeons at major hospitals have Tumor Board meetings to research and review every aspect of critical upcoming operations.

BHRI and ISB created the Brain Board meetings, held at ISB twice monthly to research and refine the best approach both medically and scientifically to many individual patients’ challenges. The members of the Brain Board include senior ISB scientists and specialists, combined with BHRI senior staff who have been working with specific patients. This group also plans upcoming research and Clinical Trials that serve BHRI and ISB and advance their detailed understanding of dementia in all of its aspects. Currently there are two such Trials starting, and an historic scale Clinical Trial is in the planning stage. This rigorous process affords BHRI patients a quality of biological research unheard of, even at advanced hospitals.
